The upcoming conference "The Resurgence of Fascism in the 21st Century in Europe and the Possibilities of Preventing It", which will be held online from 6 to 7 December 2022, is just the first step in our joint cooperation.
Ladies and Gentlemen,
Dear participants of conference!
I would like to thank you for responding to our invitation on behalf of the organizing committee of the conference, which includes the Center for Geostrategic Studies from Serbia and the European analytical portal IMHOCLUB.EU.
We know from historical experience that economic crisis and technological change are two factors that lead to strong shocks and potential large-scale conflicts. In the era of nuclear weapons of great destructive power existence, the propensity for conflicts is extremely dangerous. That is why, more than ever, we need peace initiatives, conflict de-escalation strategies and community revitalization in order to perceive and prevent potential conflicts.
80 years have passed since anti-fascist move ments in Europe were created, and today we faced with this problem again, which we thought was solved by the end of the Second World War. The economic and migration crisis in Europe in recent years has led to an increase in social discontent expressed by citizens of many European countries. At the same time radical ideas that promoted conflicts in society were born. Big changes are happening in all spheres of human activity, fueled by a new technological revolution.
Dragana Trifkovic,
Director General of the Center for Geostrategic Studies,
Serbia, Belgrade
I cordially greet you and see you soon at our first online conference!
The purpose of our conference-
We invite European and world scientists, professors, peace activists, independent journalists and intellectuals to participate in the dialogue and join our initiatives.
bring together the academic community, independent intellectuals and journalists, public figures and individuals who notice these problems and make efforts to solve them. I am deeply convinced that these categories of society can identify current problems and give the best answers in order to determine the overall strategy for de-escalating the conflict. We, as organizers, will make every effort to ensure that the upcoming discussion takes place at a high level and in a constructive spirit.
